Possible Causes
Blocked air filter, failed indoor fan motor, dirty evaporator coil, sensor misplacement on coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing.
Steps:
- Clean filter: Remove and thoroughly clean the air filter with mild soap and water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Inspect indoor fan: Confirm that the indoor blower motor starts promptly and runs at all speeds. Replace if it fails to start or is very weak.
- Clean evaporator coil: Access the evaporator and gently brush or vacuum dust from the fins. Do not bend fins; use a fin comb if needed.
- Check coil sensor: Ensure the evaporator temperature sensor is properly clipped to the coil and not hanging loose.
- Test operation: After cleaning and reassembly, run the unit and monitor for H1. If it returns, test and possibly replace the coil sensor or main control PCB.
