Steps:

• Check remote: Replace batteries and ensure polarity is correct. Confirm you are using a compatible NewAir remote.
• Test remote output: Point the remote at a smartphone camera and press buttons; you should see the IR LED flash on the screen.
• Clear receiver window: Clean the IR receiver window on the unit's front panel and remove any obstructions.
• Receiver replacement: If the remote is working but the unit does not respond, replace the display/control PCB that contains the IR receiver.
