Possible Causes

Failed indoor ambient NTC sensor, Loose sensor connector on indoor PCB, Damaged sensor cable, Faulty PCB sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the front cover.

  • Access sensor: Remove the front panel and filter of the Olimpia Splendid indoor unit. The ambient sensor is often near the air intake grille.
  • Inspect sensor and wiring: Ensure the sensor is not broken or hanging loose. Check the cable for cuts or pinches.
  • Reseat connector: Follow the cable to the PCB and unplug/replug the connector to ensure good contact.
  • Test resistance: Use a multimeter to measure sensor resistance at room temperature. Replace the sensor if readings are open, shorted, or far from expected values.
  • PCB check: If a new sensor does not clear F1, the indoor PCB may be defective and require replacement.
