Possible Causes
Open/short evaporator NTC, Sensor dislodged from coil, Wiring harness damage, PCB sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Sharp fins on the evaporator coil can cut skin. Wear gloves.
- Locate evaporator sensor: Remove the front cover and inspect the evaporator coil. The sensor is usually clipped to the coil or inserted into a small tube.
- Check attachment: Reattach the sensor firmly to the coil if it has come loose.
- Inspect wiring: Look for any signs of damage or corrosion on the sensor leads and connector.
- Test and replace: Measure resistance; if faulty, install a new "Evaporator NTC sensor" for your Olimpia Splendid model.
- PCB diagnosis: If the sensor is good, the indoor PCB may need replacement by a technician.
