Possible Causes
Failed outdoor ambient NTC sensor, Sensor cable cut or weather-damaged, Loose connector on outdoor PCB, PCB sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power at the outdoor disconnect before opening the outdoor unit.
- Locate sensor: On Olimpia Splendid outdoor units, the ambient sensor is typically mounted near the air intake grille or on the coil frame.
- Inspect condition: Check for UV damage, broken insulation, or corrosion on the sensor and wiring.
- Reseat connector: Follow the cable to the outdoor PCB and reseat the connector.
- Measure resistance: Test the sensor with a multimeter. Replace if readings are abnormal.
- Replace sensor: Install a new "Outdoor ambient NTC sensor" and secure it in the original location.
- PCB issues: If F3 persists, the outdoor PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a professional.
