How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Outdoor fan blades are sharp and can start unexpectedly. Disconnect power before working.
- Visual inspection: Check the Olimpia Splendid outdoor fan for debris, ice, or bent blades contacting the shroud.
- Manual spin test: With power off, spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely. If stiff, the motor bearings may be failing.
- Check capacitor (if present): Some models use a separate capacitor for the outdoor fan. Discharge and test it; replace if out of tolerance.
- Wiring check: Inspect the motor wiring harness and connector for burns or loose contacts.
