Possible Causes
Evaporator coil icing due to low ambient temperature, Very low fan speed or blocked airflow, Low refrigerant charge, Faulty evaporator sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: P2 often indicates the unit is protecting itself from freezing.
- Check room and set temperature: Ensure the set temperature is not too low relative to room temperature, especially in cool environments.
- Clean filter and coil: Dirty filters and coils on Olimpia Splendid units can cause icing. Clean them thoroughly.
- Inspect fan speed: Make sure the indoor fan is running at normal speed. Address any fan issues.
- Defrost the coil: Turn the unit off and allow any ice on the evaporator to melt completely before restarting.
- Persistent P2: If the error recurs frequently, have a technician check refrigerant charge and the evaporator sensor.
