• 3. Tighten mounting screws: Gently lift the indoor unit and check that it is firmly hooked onto the wall mounting plate. Tighten any accessible screws.
• 4. Listen to motor: If the noise is a grinding or high-pitched squeal, the fan motor bearings may be worn and the motor should be replaced.
