Water dripping from the front of the indoor unit or down the wall

Safety first: Turn off power to the indoor unit. Place towels or a container under the leak area.

Steps to try:

• Clean drain line: Use a wet/dry vacuum at the drain outlet outside to suck out sludge and algae.
• Check unit level: Remove the front cover and use a small level to ensure the unit tilts slightly toward the drain side. Adjust mounting bracket if possible.
• Inspect drain hose: Ensure the hose slopes continuously downward with no traps or kinks.
• Clean drain pan: If accessible, wipe out slime and debris from the pan with a mild disinfectant.

When to call a pro: If leaks persist, the drain pan may be cracked or the internal drain connection may be misaligned and require disassembly.
