Full Condensate Tank / Drainage Protection
E5 error and unit shuts down, often associated with water tank or drainage issues

Possible Causes
Full internal water tank, Blocked condensate drain hose, Faulty float switch, Misaligned water level sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the unit off and unplug it before draining water to avoid electrical shock.
- Step 1 – Empty water tank:
- On Pro Breeze portable ACs, locate the lower drain plug or water tank access at the rear or bottom.
- Place a shallow tray or pan under the drain, remove the plug, and allow water to drain completely.
- Step 2 – Check continuous drain hose (if used):
- Ensure the hose is not kinked, elevated above the drain outlet, or blocked.
- Flush the hose with warm water to clear any sludge or debris.
- Step 3 – Inspect float switch:
- Remove the rear panel to access the internal condensate tray.
- Locate the float and micro-switch assembly; ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or scale.
- Clean the float and tray with mild detergent if necessary.
- Step 4 – Test float switch:
- With the unit unplugged, disconnect the float switch connector and check continuity with a multimeter while moving the float up and down.
- If the switch does not change state, replace the Pro Breeze Condensate Float Switch.
After reassembly, plug the unit back in and test. If E5 remains, the water level sensing circuit on the main PCB may be faulty.
