Possible Causes
Loose communication harness, Damaged display PCB, Faulty main control PCB, Moisture or corrosion on connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control panel. Avoid static discharge to electronic boards.
- Step 1 – Power cycle:
- Unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then plug back in and test.
- Step 2 – Inspect communication cable:
- Remove the front control panel cover.
- Locate the multi-wire harness or ribbon cable between the display/control board and the main PCB.
- Unplug and firmly reconnect both ends, ensuring no bent pins.
- Step 3 – Check for corrosion or moisture:
- Look for signs of condensation or water ingress around the control panel.
- Dry the area thoroughly and consider adding a small desiccant pack if humidity is high.
- Step 4 – Replace faulty board:
- If E6 persists, isolate whether the Display PCB or Main Control PCB is at fault by visual inspection and, if available, substitution with a known-good board.
- Order the correct replacement board using the full model number.
Because this involves low-voltage control electronics, a technician is recommended if you are not experienced with PCB handling.
