Possible Causes
Stuck or shorted keypad buttons, Damaged touch panel membrane, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Liquid spill into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air conditioner before removing the control panel. Avoid using excessive liquid cleaners near electronics.
- Step 1 – Inspect buttons:
- Check if any button feels stuck or does not click properly.
- Gently clean around the buttons with a dry cloth.
- Step 2 – Open control panel:
- Remove screws securing the front control panel.
- Carefully lift the panel and inspect the keypad membrane and ribbon cable.
- Step 3 – Reseat ribbon cable:
- Disconnect the keypad ribbon from the display or main PCB.
- Inspect for corrosion or damage, then reconnect firmly.
- Step 4 – Replace keypad assembly:
- If buttons are physically damaged or E7 persists, replace the Pro Breeze Control Panel / Keypad Assembly.
- Transfer any mounting brackets or bezels from the old panel to the new one.
If the keypad is new and E7 still appears, the display PCB or main PCB may be misinterpreting key signals and require replacement.
