Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on main PCB, Power surge or brownout, Incompatible replacement control board, Internal memory failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal electronics.
- Step 1 – Hard reset:
- Unplug the unit for at least 15 minutes.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF and MODE buttons together for 10 seconds (if supported by your model) while plugging back in to perform a factory reset.
- Step 2 – Check power quality:
- Avoid using the unit on circuits shared with heavy appliances that cause voltage dips.
- Consider using a surge protector rated for air conditioners.
- Step 3 – Replace main PCB:
- If E9 persists, the internal memory on the Main Control PCB is likely corrupted.
- Order a replacement board pre-programmed for your exact Pro Breeze model.
- Label all connectors, swap the board, and reassemble.
Firmware reprogramming in the field is generally not supported for consumer units; board replacement is the standard remedy.
