Possible Causes

Drifted NTC thermistor, Sensor not positioned in airflow, Damaged sensor wiring, Main PCB calibration fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing covers.

  • Step 1 – Compare temperatures:
    • Use a separate room thermometer to compare with the unit's display.
    • If the difference is large (more than 5°C) and F1 appears, suspect the indoor sensor.
  • Step 2 – Locate and inspect sensor:
    • Access the front intake area and find the Indoor Temperature Sensor near the filter.
    • Ensure it is not touching the evaporator coil and is in the path of room air.
  • Step 3 – Replace sensor:
    • Order a matching Pro Breeze Indoor NTC Sensor for your model.
    • Disconnect the old sensor from the PCB, route the new one along the same path, and secure it with clips or ties.

If F1 persists with a new sensor, the main PCB's analog-to-digital converter may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
