Possible Causes
Dirty air filter, Clogged evaporator or condenser coil, Incorrect room size for unit BTU rating, Poor window or door sealing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning internal components.
- Step 1 – Verify sizing and conditions:
- Check that the Pro Breeze unit's BTU rating matches the room size and heat load (sunlight, electronics, occupants).
- Close doors and windows and use blinds to reduce solar gain.
- Step 2 – Clean filters and coils:
- Remove and clean the air filter.
- Vacuum dust from the evaporator (front) and condenser (rear) coils using a soft brush.
- Step 3 – Improve airflow:
- Ensure intake and exhaust vents are not blocked.
- For portable units, keep the exhaust hose as short and straight as possible.
- Step 4 – Check mode and setpoint:
- Confirm the unit is in COOL mode, not FAN or DRY.
- Set the temperature at least 3–5°C below room temperature.
If cooling is still weak after these steps, a refrigerant or compressor issue may exist and should be checked by a technician.
