How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the disconnect before inspecting the outdoor unit.
- Check for debris: Look through the top grille for sticks, rocks, or other objects contacting the fan blade. Remove any obstructions.
- Tighten hardware: Remove the top panel and tighten fan motor mounting bolts and any loose sheet metal screws.
- Inspect fan blade: Ensure the blade is not cracked or bent. Replace if damaged.
- Compressor mounts: Check that the compressor mounting bolts and rubber isolators are intact. Replace worn isolators to reduce vibration.
Warning: Do not run the unit with the top grille removed; this is unsafe and can damage the fan.
