How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Disconnect power before removing the indoor unit cover. Rotating parts can cause injury.
- Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Remove the front cover and filters. Inspect the blower wheel for dust buildup, foreign objects, or ice.
- Step 2 – Spin blower by hand: With power OFF, gently rotate the blower wheel. It should move freely without scraping.
- Step 3 – Inspect motor wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is fully seated on the indoor PCB and that wires are not pinched.
- Step 4 – Clean blower: If heavily clogged with dust, carefully vacuum or brush the blower wheel and surrounding area.
