Indoor unit emits a musty or moldy smell when starting.

• Step 1 – Clean filters: Wash and dry the Samsung filters thoroughly.
• Step 2 – Clean evaporator coil: Use a coil-safe foaming cleaner designed for AC evaporators. Spray onto the coil fins and allow it to drain into the pan.
• Step 3 – Disinfect drain pan: Wipe the pan with a mild bleach solution (if compatible with materials) or an AC-safe disinfectant.
• Step 4 – Run DRY or FAN mode: After cleaning, run the unit in DRY or FAN mode for 30–60 minutes to dry out internal components.
• Step 5 – Regular maintenance: Clean filters monthly and run FAN mode for 10–15 minutes after heavy cooling to reduce moisture buildup.
