Possible Causes

Failed outdoor coil NTC sensor, Sensor detached from coil, Damaged sensor wiring, Corroded connector at outdoor PCB

Safety first: Isolate power at the breaker.

Locate coil sensor: It is clipped to the outdoor heat exchanger tubing.
Check attachment: Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped and in good thermal contact with the coil.
Inspect wiring: Look for insulation damage or pulled wires.
Replace sensor: If F3 remains after reseating, replace the outdoor coil NTC sensor with the correct SMEG part.

After replacement, restore power and test in heating mode.
