Possible Causes

Tripped circuit breaker, Blown internal fuse on indoor PCB, Loose power terminal connections, Faulty power cord (portable units)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Before opening any covers, switch off the breaker and verify with a tester that power is off.

  • Check breaker: Inspect the dedicated AC breaker in the distribution board. Reset if tripped; if it trips again immediately, do not force it—there may be a short.
  • Verify outlet (portable): Plug another appliance into the same outlet to confirm power is present.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the indoor electrical cover and ensure L/N/E wires are tight and not burnt.
  • Check internal fuse: Many SMEG indoor PCBs have a small glass or ceramic fuse. If blown, replace only with the same rating. If it blows again, a deeper fault exists.

If there is still no power after these checks, the indoor PCB may be defective and should be tested/replaced by a technician.
