How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the indoor fan assembly.
- Step 1 – Clean blower wheel: Remove the front panel and filters. Inspect the blower wheel for heavy dust buildup and clean with a brush and vacuum.
- Step 2 – Check wiring: Ensure the multi-pin connector from the fan motor to the PCB is secure.
- Step 3 – Test fan speeds: Restore power and cycle through fan speeds. If the fan does not respond correctly or F6 appears, the motor or PCB is suspect.
- Step 4 – Replace indoor fan motor: Install a new TCL-specified DC fan motor if the existing one has faulty feedback.
- Step 5 – Replace PCB if needed: If a new motor does not resolve F6, replace the indoor main PCB.
