Possible Causes
Internal condensate tank full, Blocked internal drain passage, Faulty water level float switch, Unit not leveled properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the portable AC before draining.
- Step 1 – Drain water: Move the unit to a location where water spillage is acceptable. Remove the drain cap at the bottom rear and allow water to drain into a shallow pan or floor drain.
- Step 2 – Clear blockage: If little water comes out but P1 remains, gently insert a flexible plastic rod into the drain port to clear any blockage.
- Step 3 – Check float switch: Access the internal tank (per user manual) and ensure the float moves freely. Clean any slime or debris.
- Step 4 – Level the unit: Ensure the portable AC is on a level surface so water flows correctly to the tank.
Warning: Do not tip the unit excessively; this can cause water to spill into electrical components.
