Unit frequently turns on and off (short cycling)

• Step 1 – Check sensor placement: Ensure the indoor ambient sensor is not directly in the cold air stream. If it is, gently reposition it away from the outlet.
• Step 2 – Clean filters and coils: Dirty components can cause uneven cooling and rapid cycling.
• Step 3 – Adjust setpoint: Set a moderate temperature and avoid extreme settings that cause rapid cycling.
• Step 4 – Sensor replacement: If cycling persists, replace the ambient temperature sensor.

Warning: Short cycling can stress the compressor; address the cause promptly.
