Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain line on TCL indoor unit, Improper unit leveling, Cracked drain pan, Excessive indoor humidity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the unit and place towels or a container under the leak.
- Step 1 – Check unit level: Ensure the indoor unit is slightly tilted toward the drain side as per TCL installation guidelines.
- Step 2 – Clear drain line: Use a wet/dry vacuum at the drain outlet outside to remove clogs. Flush with clean water if accessible.
- Step 3 – Clean drain pan: Remove the front cover and gently clean the drain pan of algae and debris.
- Step 4 – Inspect for cracks: If the pan is cracked, it may need replacement.
Warning: Do not use metal tools inside the drain pan; they can puncture plastic and worsen leaks.
