Safety first: Turn OFF power to the indoor unit before cleaning.

Steps:

• 1. Replace filter: Install a new, high-quality filter.
• 2. Clean drain pan: Access the evaporator coil and gently clean the drain pan with a mild detergent solution. Rinse lightly.
• 3. Clear drain line: Use a wet/dry vacuum on the drain outlet to remove sludge and algae.
• 4. Coil cleaning: Lightly spray an approved no-rinse evaporator coil cleaner following label directions. Avoid getting cleaner on electronics.
• 5. Run fan: After cleaning, run the fan ON for 30–60 minutes to help dry the coil.
