- 2. Verify thermostat: Ensure it has power (replace batteries if applicable) and is set to COOL with a low setpoint.
- 3. Check service switch: Confirm the furnace/air handler service switch is ON.
- 4. Inspect low-voltage fuse: With power off, locate and visually inspect the small blade fuse on the Tempstar control board. Replace only with the same rating if blown.
- 5. If still no operation: The transformer or control board may be faulty and should be tested by a technician.
