How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the outdoor disconnect. Wait for the fan to stop completely.
- Step 1 – Inspect fan area: Remove the top grille and check for sticks, stones, or other debris hitting the fan blade.
- Step 2 – Check fan blade: Look for cracks or warping. Replace the blade if damaged.
- Step 3 – Spin test: Spin the fan by hand. If rough or noisy, the motor bearings are worn and the motor should be replaced.
- Step 4 – Compressor mounts: Inspect compressor mounting bolts and rubber grommets. Tighten loose bolts and replace deteriorated mounts.
