Possible Causes

Corrupted indoor PCB EEPROM data, Loose or oxidized PCB connectors, Failed indoor main control board, Voltage spike damage to control circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the breaker to the indoor unit and verify power is off before removing any covers.

  • Power reset: Turn the Tosot air conditioner OFF with the remote, then switch OFF the dedicated breaker for 5–10 minutes. Restore power and test. Sometimes E0 clears after a full reset.
  • Inspect indoor PCB connections: Remove the front panel and access the control box. Check all low-voltage harnesses going to the main PCB and EEPROM daughter board (if present). Reseat each connector firmly and look for corrosion or burnt spots.
  • Check for signs of surge damage: Look for darkened areas, swollen capacitors, or burnt smell on the indoor PCB. If present, the board is likely defective.
  • If E0 persists: The indoor main control board (with EEPROM) is likely faulty and should be replaced with the exact Tosot part number specified for your model.

Warning: Do not attempt component-level board repair unless you are trained in electronics. Replace the entire PCB assembly.
