Possible Causes
Incorrect wiring between indoor and outdoor units, Faulty 4-way reversing valve coil, Outdoor PCB not responding to mode command, Indoor PCB logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to the entire system before opening any covers.
- Confirm wiring: Verify that the interconnecting cable between indoor and outdoor units is wired exactly as per the Tosot installation manual. Correct any miswiring.
- Power reset: After correcting wiring, power down for 10 minutes, then restore power and test heating and cooling modes.
- Check reversing valve coil: On heat pump models, locate the 4-way valve coil on the outdoor unit. Ensure the coil is firmly attached and its connector is secure. If the coil is open-circuit (technician test), replace it.
- If E7 persists: Either the indoor or outdoor PCB may not be processing mode commands correctly. A technician should diagnose communication and replace the faulty board.
