Possible Causes

Open or shorted evaporator coil sensor (T1), Loose or corroded sensor connector, Sensor dislodged from coil surface, Damaged sensor harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the front cover.

  • Access the coil: Remove the front panel and filters to expose the evaporator coil.
  • Locate sensor: Find the T1 sensor clipped to the coil tubing. Ensure it is firmly attached and not hanging loose.
  • Check wiring: Trace the sensor wires back to the PCB and reseat the connector.
  • Replace sensor: If F2 persists, replace the evaporator temperature sensor with the correct Tosot part.
