Possible Causes
Indoor DC fan motor tachometer failure, Obstructed blower wheel, Faulty indoor PCB fan control circuit, Incorrect fan motor replacement part
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power to the indoor unit.
- Inspect blower: Remove the front cover and check for dirt buildup or foreign objects in the blower wheel. Clean thoroughly.
- Check motor connector: Reseat the indoor fan motor connector on the PCB.
- Verify correct motor: If the motor was recently replaced, confirm it is the exact Tosot-specified DC motor model.
- Test operation: Restore power and run the fan at different speeds. If F8 returns, replace the indoor DC fan motor. If still unresolved, the indoor PCB may need replacement.
