Remote control does not operate the indoor unit

Safety first: No high-voltage work is required for this check.

• Replace batteries: Install fresh, correctly oriented batteries in the remote.
• Clear line of sight: Ensure there are no objects blocking the path between the remote and the indoor unit's IR receiver.
• Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera; pressing buttons should show a flashing light on the remote's IR LED in the camera view. If not, replace the remote.
• Check receiver: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or indoor PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
