Possible Causes
Burnt indoor fan motor windings, Failed fan run capacitor (on AC motors), Loose fan motor connector, Obstructed blower wheel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before opening the indoor unit.
- Check for obstruction: Inspect the blower wheel for foreign objects or ice. Remove any blockage.
- Inspect wiring: Locate the fan motor connector on the indoor PCB and ensure it is firmly seated.
- Capacitor check (if fitted): Some models use a separate fan capacitor. Inspect for bulging or leakage and replace with the same µF rating if suspect.
- Test motor: If the motor hums but does not turn, or does not respond at all, replace the indoor fan motor assembly.
