How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and place towels or a container under the unit to catch water.
- Clean filters: Remove and clean filters to reduce condensate carryover.
- Access drain pan: Remove the front cover and inspect the drain tray for standing water and debris. Scoop out sludge and rinse with warm water and mild detergent.
- Flush drain line: Disconnect the drain hose at the indoor unit if possible and flush with water. Use a wet/dry vacuum at the outlet end to pull out blockages.
- Check slope: Ensure the drain hose runs continuously downward with no upward loops or sags where water can collect.
- Inspect pan: If the drain pan is cracked or warped, replace it with a compatible Viessmann drain pan.
