Possible Causes
Full internal drain tank, blocked drain hose or port, faulty water level float switch, unit not level causing poor drainage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before draining water.
Steps:
- Drain the tank: Locate the drain plug or tank at the rear or bottom of the unit. Place a shallow pan or tray and remove the plug to drain water completely.
- Check float switch: On some models, a float switch detects water level. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or algae.
- Clear drain path: If a drain hose is attached, remove and flush it with water to clear any blockage.
- Level the unit: Make sure the unit is installed level or with a slight tilt as specified in the manual to allow proper drainage.
- Reset: After draining and reassembling, plug the unit back in and restart. P2 should clear.
