Possible Causes
Full internal condensate tray, blocked bottom drain, float switch activated, unit not level causing water to pool incorrectly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug it before draining.
Steps to clear P1:
- Move the unit to a location where water can be drained safely.
- Remove the lower drain cap and rubber plug. Allow all water to drain into a shallow pan or tray.
- Check the drain port for debris and clean if necessary.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a level surface so water flows to the drain correctly.
- Reinstall the plug and cap securely, plug the unit back in, and restart.
If P1 returns immediately with no water present, the float switch or water level sensor may be stuck or defective and may need replacement.
