Possible Causes
Evaporator thermistor out of range, Sensor not making good contact with coil, Loose connector, Main PCB fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit.
- Access evaporator: Remove front or side panels to expose the evaporator coil.
- Verify sensor placement: Ensure the evaporator sensor is firmly attached to the coil tubing or fins with good thermal contact.
- Inspect wiring: Check for damage or loose connections between the sensor and main PCB.
- Test resistance: Compare sensor resistance to the ambient sensor at similar temperature. Replace the evaporator temperature sensor if readings are abnormal.
- Control board: If F2 remains after sensor replacement, the main control PCB may be defective.
