Possible Causes

Condensate tank full, Blocked drain, Stuck float switch, Faulty water level sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before draining.

  • Drain condensate: Remove the lower drain plug and drain all water into a pan. If the unit has two drains, empty both.
  • Clean drain system: Clear any debris from the drain port and hose. Flush with warm water if needed.
  • Check float movement: Access the internal tray and verify the float moves freely and returns to the down position when empty.
  • Switch test: Test the float switch with a multimeter and replace if stuck in the "full" state.
  • Board check: If FL remains with an empty tray and good switch, the main control PCB may be misreading the level.
