Possible Causes

Failed stepper motor, Broken louver linkage, Obstruction in louver path, Faulty indoor PCB louver driver

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power to the indoor unit before working on the louvers.

  • Check for obstructions: Remove any objects blocking the louvers and gently move them by hand to feel for binding.
  • Inspect linkage: Remove the front cover and check the plastic linkage arms between the motor and louvers. Replace broken parts.
  • Test louver motor: In test mode (if available), command louver movement. If the motor does not respond, replace the louver motor.
  • PCB issue: If a new motor does not operate, the indoor PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
