Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord or plug, Failed main control board power supply section, Loose mains input terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before any inspection. Do not attempt live testing unless you are trained to work with mains voltage.
Steps to diagnose:
- Check outlet and cord: Verify the wall outlet with another appliance. Inspect the AEG power cord for visible damage. Replace the power cord if suspect.
- Access internal fuse: Remove the rear or bottom cover to locate the internal fuse on or near the main control board. Test the fuse with a multimeter for continuity. If blown, replace with the same type and rating (T-slow blow vs F-fast, correct amperage).
- Inspect for short circuits: Before replacing a blown fuse, look for burnt components, melted wires, or signs of a short on the PCB or heater circuit. Correct any obvious faults.
- Check mains terminals: Tighten any loose screws on the mains input block. Ensure strain relief is intact.
- Board evaluation: If the fuse is intact and power still does not reach the low-voltage section (no standby LED, no display), the SMPS on the main control board may have failed and the board will need replacement.
