Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on PCB, Open thermal fuse in power path, Damaged power cord, Failed main control PCB power supply section

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer. If you smell burning or see smoke, do not attempt to power it again until inspected.

  • Step 1 – Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another device. Reset any tripped breaker or GFCI.
  • Step 2 – Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Gently wiggle the cord near the plug while plugged in (with the unit switched on) to see if power flickers; if so, replace the cord.
  • Step 3 – Access internal fuse: Remove the bottom or rear cover to locate the small glass or ceramic fuse on the main control PCB. Test continuity with a multimeter. If blown, replace with the same type and rating.
  • Step 4 – Check thermal fuse in power path: Some Ambiano models route mains through a thermal fuse near the heater. If this fuse is open, the unit will be dead. Replace only with the exact temperature and current rating.
  • Step 5 – Inspect PCB: If fuses are intact, look for burnt components in the power supply section. A charred or cracked component usually means the PCB must be replaced.
  • Step 6 – If unsure, seek service: Because mains voltage is involved, if you are not comfortable testing live circuits, contact a qualified technician.
