Possible Causes
Seized fan motor bearings, Broken fan blades jammed against guard, Loose fan motor connector, Failed fan driver circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and let it cool. Do not operate the unit without a functioning fan.
- Step 1 – Confirm fan issue: Start a short cycle and listen for fan noise. If you hear only relay clicks and heater hum but no airflow, stop and unplug.
- Step 2 – Inspect for obstructions: Remove the basket and look up at the fan. Remove any visible debris or warped plastic that may be blocking the blades.
- Step 3 – Access fan motor: Remove the top cover to expose the fan assembly. Try spinning the fan by hand; it should move freely.
- Step 4 – Check wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is firmly attached to the PCB and that wires are not pinched or broken.
- Step 5 – Test motor: Measure resistance across the motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If you have a suitable test supply and experience, briefly power the motor to confirm operation.
- Step 6 – Replace faulty parts: Replace the convection fan motor assembly if seized or open. If the motor is good but never receives power, the fan driver on the main control PCB is likely defective and the PCB should be replaced.
