Possible Causes

Unresponsive Start button on touch panel, Basket not fully inserted triggering safety interlock, Faulty basket presence microswitch, Control PCB not recognizing keypress

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the housing.

  • Step 1 – Confirm basket position: Remove and firmly reinsert the basket until it clicks. Ensure no food debris is blocking the drawer from closing fully.
  • Step 2 – Try manual mode: Set a temperature and time manually instead of using presets, then press Start. If it still does not start, the issue is likely with the Start key or safety switch.
  • Step 3 – Clean touch panel: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the membrane.
  • Step 4 – Test basket switch: With the unit unplugged, access the basket presence microswitch and test continuity while inserting/removing the basket. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
  • Step 5 – Inspect ribbon cable: Check the ribbon cable between the touch panel and PCB for damage or loose connection. Reseat it firmly.
  • Step 6 – Replace touch panel or PCB: If the Start button area is cracked or unresponsive and the switch is good, replace the touch control panel. If a new panel does not resolve the issue, replace the main control PCB.
