Possible Causes

Open heating element, Blown thermal fuse in heater circuit, Failed heater relay on PCB, Loose heater wiring connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool completely before accessing the heater.

  • Step 1 – Confirm no heat: Run the unit for 5–10 minutes at maximum temperature. Carefully feel for warm air at the exhaust. If only room‑temperature air is present, proceed.
  • Step 2 – Access heater terminals: Remove the top cover to expose the heating element and its wiring. Look for burnt or disconnected wires.
  • Step 3 – Check heater continuity: Disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance across the element. An open reading indicates a failed heating element that must be replaced.
  • Step 4 – Inspect thermal fuse: Locate the thermal fuse mounted on the heater shroud. Test continuity; if open, replace with the same rating and investigate overheating causes (blocked vents, fan failure).
  • Step 5 – Check relay and wiring: Ensure the heater relay on the PCB clicks when heating should start. If there is no click and the relay coil is not energizing, the PCB may be faulty. If the relay clicks but no power reaches the heater, the relay contacts may be burnt.
  • Step 6 – Replace faulty parts: Replace the heating element assembly or thermal fuse as needed. If the PCB relay is defective, replace the main control PCB.
