Possible Causes

Seized or obstructed convection fan, Failed fan motor, Loose fan motor connector, Fan driver circuit failure on main control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and let it cool. Do not run the unit with the fan obstructed or removed.

  • Step 1 – Listen for fan: Plug in and start a cycle briefly. If you do not hear the fan start within a few seconds, stop the cycle and unplug.
  • Step 2 – Inspect fan blades: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up at the fan through the guard. Check for food pieces, foil, or warped plastic blocking the blades.
  • Step 3 – Access fan motor: Remove the top cover (screws around the perimeter). Carefully lift the cover to expose the fan motor and blades. Spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely without grinding.
  • Step 4 – Check wiring: Verify the fan motor connector is fully seated on the PCB. Look for burnt or discolored pins. Reseat the connector.
  • Step 5 – Motor test (for experienced DIYers): With the unit unplugged, measure resistance across the fan motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If available, briefly power the motor with a suitable low‑voltage test supply to confirm operation (only if you are qualified to do so).
  • Step 6 – Replace components: Replace the convection fan motor assembly if seized or open. If the motor is good but E6 persists, the fan driver circuit on the main control PCB is likely defective and the PCB should be replaced.
