How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the appliance is unplugged before any disassembly. Do not attempt repairs if the cord is visibly damaged unless you are competent with mains wiring.
Steps to troubleshoot no power:
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or RCDs.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or loose plug pins. Gently flex the cord near the plug while plugged in (with the air fryer switched on) and see if power flickers; if so, replace the power cord set.
- Access internal fuse: Remove the housing to locate the internal fuse on the main control PCB or on a small inline holder. Check it with a multimeter for continuity.
- Replace blown fuse: If the fuse is open, replace it with the exact same type and rating (e.g., T5A 250V). If it blows again immediately, there is an underlying short that must be found (see overcurrent fault).
- Check PCB power section: Look for burnt components or swollen capacitors on the main control PCB. If present, replace the entire PCB.
Note: If the unit is under warranty, internal fuse or PCB work should be done by authorised Beko service.
