Possible Causes
Failed heating element, Open thermal fuse on heater assembly, Faulty heater relay or triac on main control PCB, Loose heater wiring connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before accessing internal components.
Steps to diagnose no heat:
- Check for faint warmth: Run a short cycle and carefully feel near the exhaust vents (without blocking them). If there is absolutely no warmth, proceed to internal checks.
- Access heater assembly: Remove the housing to expose the heating element and thermal fuse.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure all spade connectors on the heater and thermal fuse are tight and not oxidised.
- Test heater and fuse: Use a multimeter to check continuity of the heating element and thermal fuse. Replace any open components.
- Check PCB relay: Listen for a click from the main control PCB when starting a heating cycle. If no click and the heater circuit is good, the relay/triac or PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced.
