Possible Causes

Seized or obstructed fan blades, Failed fan motor winding, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on main control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool. Do not insert fingers or tools into vents while the unit is connected to power.

Steps to address E6:

  • Check for obstructions: Look through the top or rear vents for foreign objects (foil, food pieces) lodged in the fan. Remove the basket and drawer and inspect from below as well.
  • Manual spin test: With the unit unplugged, gently spin the fan blades using a plastic stick through the vent. They should rotate freely without grinding or scraping.
  • Access fan assembly: Remove the outer housing to expose the fan and motor mounted above the heater.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the fan motor connector at the motor and at the main PCB. Reseat connectors and look for burnt or loose pins.
  • Test the motor: If you have a multimeter, measure resistance across the fan motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Compare with service data if available.
  • Replace fan motor if faulty: Remove the fan blade (usually held by a nut or clip), then unscrew the Beko fan motor from its bracket. Install the new motor, refit the fan blade, and ensure correct rotation direction.
  • PCB check: If the motor tests good but does not receive voltage during operation, the fan driver on the main control PCB may be defective and the PCB will need replacement.

Warning: Do not operate the air fryer with a non-functioning fan; this can cause overheating and fire risk.
