Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on main control PCB, Damaged microcontroller due to surge, Loose display-to-main-board ribbon cable, Faulty touch control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening any covers.
Steps to address E7:
- Power cycle: Unplug the air fryer for at least 10 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and check if E7 clears.
- Check for moisture: If the unit was exposed to steam or liquid spills, allow it to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry room before retesting.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the control panel cover to access the display/touch PCB and its ribbon cable to the main control PCB. Reseat the ribbon cable and any connectors carefully.
- Look for damage: Examine both PCBs for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or corrosion. Any visible damage usually requires board replacement.
- Board replacement: If E7 persists, replace the main control PCB. On some models, the display/touch PCB may also need replacement as a matched set.
Note: Firmware reprogramming is typically not user-serviceable and is handled by authorised Beko service centres.
