Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Obstruction preventing fan rotation, Loose fan blade on motor shaft, Faulty fan driver circuit on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow to cool. Never insert objects into vents while the unit is powered.
Steps to troubleshoot fan issues:
- Listen for fan: During a cooking cycle, you should hear a steady fan noise. If silent, proceed to internal checks.
- Check for obstructions: Look through vents for foreign objects or warped plastic touching the fan blades.
- Access fan assembly: Remove the housing to expose the fan motor and blade above the heater.
- Inspect fan blade: Ensure the blade is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked. Tighten or replace if loose or damaged.
- Spin test: Manually rotate the fan. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor.
- Electrical test: With a multimeter, check motor winding resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If the motor is good but not receiving voltage during operation, the main control PCB is likely faulty.
